"Tips About the Right Way to Clean Your Car Windows"

For some people, washing the cars windows properly is not a big deal, they are completely satisfied with using a bottle of Windex and some paper towels. These people simply spray the windows then scrub the Windex off with the paper towels and call the windows good. The problem is cleaning your car windows this way actually increases the chance of leaving streaks. If you want to properly clean your windows, you will need to take a bit more time, and put a bit more thought into what you are doing to do it properly.

The first thing that you want to do when washing your car's windows is to take the time needed to prepare yourself, and gather your supplies. Before you even attempt to wash the windows, you will want to wash the rest of the car first, if you wash the windows before washing the car all you will do is spread the dirt from the car onto the clean windows, which means you have to wash the windows all over again.

Once you have washed the car you will want to get an empty spray bottle, 2 cups of filtered water, half a cup of cider vinegar, and a quarter cup of rubbing alcohol. You will also need to have a lint free cleaning cloth, even a lint free rag will work, and this will be used to wash the windows. You are also going to need a microfiber cloth for buffing the windows once you have cleaned them.

After gathering all of your supplies you will want to mix the cider vinegar, rubbing alcohol, and filtered water inside the spray bottle. Once everything is placed inside the spray bottle, stir the contents with a straw and then replace the spray nozzle. You will want to start with the front windshield and then work your way around the car in either direction; you want to start with the front windshield because that collects the most dust and grime.

To clean the windows do not spray the windows directly, instead spray your cleaning cloth until it is soaked. Using the cleaning cloth wipe the window in a square shape, starting along the outside edges and working your way into the center. Add more cleaning solution as needed. Continue cleaning the same window until all of the dirt is gone.

You do not have to buff your windows, but buffing them will ensure that your windows are perfect; you should be able to look out of them with nothing getting in the way. To buff the windows all you need to do is get your buffing cloth and rub the windows as soon as they have been cleaned, make sure you rub in a circular motion for two to three minutes.
