"Microfiber Cleaning Cloths - Perfect For Boats"

I always cringe when I see something advertised as a ""space age"" product, or when someone goes, ""We can get a man to the moon, but we can't..."" I cringe because, well, these days it feels like ""space age"" is sort of a last century kind of thing, what with all the excitement happening something like 40 years ago. So a lot of that space age stuff is actually about the same vintage as an AMC Pacer or a Ford Pinto. And I am not sure we could get a man on the moon today even if we tried. So much for ""space age."" Still, the term has stuck and we use it to describe wonderful technological advances. Some of those advances were doubtlessly made possible by the giant leaps forward that came with the beginning exploration of space. The impact of needing to solve new problems, creating new materials, developing new processes led to innovation that is the foundation of much of the advanced technology we have today, technology that affects all aspects of our lives, right down to the things we wear, the tools we use, and - the subject of this article - the new generation of microfibers that has revolutionized cleaning.

Microfibers really are space age products. Dating back to the 1950s when scientists first began exploring various high-tech spinning techniques that resulted in the creation of super-fine strands that are only a small fraction as thick as a human hair, microfibers have revolutionized not only clothing and the insulation materials used in clothing, but also cleaning. I can attest to that because I've been using special microfiber boat cleaning cloth for a while now, and it works better than anything else I've tried for a wide variety of boat cleaner tasks. Why should microfiber cloth be part of your boat cleaning supplies?

The secret lies in the special composure of microfiber material. First of all, these fibers, usually made of polyester, are so incredible thin that they can be woven, often in patented processes, into materials that can hold up to seven times their own weight in water. Second, this type of boat cleaning cloth leaves no dust or lint, so it's suitable even for places where you want and need a streak-free shine, like on chrome and glass. Third, you can get microfiber cloths that do not include any chemicals whatsoever, which means you can use them on even the most sensitive surfaces, like marine displays or other screens. Forth, while these cloths can  be used as a boat chrome cleaner and as completely streak free boat cleaning cloths, they are tough enough to remove and soak up even the worst dirt and grime. The amazing thing about microfiber cloth is that it doesn't just push and smear dirt around, it actually absorbs it. And it can be used to remove even pesky grime and residue including oils, tar, wax and more.

Bottom line is that if you want to clean your boat in an easy, non-harmful way, there is nothing better than microfiber. It's the ultimate cloth and the most direct and painless way to clean boats. And you don't end up with a big pile of paper towels or shredded, grimy conventional cleaning cloth that's hard to wash; microfiber cloth simply rinses out to be used over & over again.
